Te estas preguntando “¿Que deberia de empacar en mi maleta para el hospital?”. Yo tambien me lo pregunte. Pase horas y horas platicandolo con otras mamás, leyendo experiencias de mamás alrededor del mundo y preguntando en grupos de Facebook que habían empacado y que habían usado mas, practicamente que era lo indispensable. Ahora que ya tuve a mi bebé, tengo mucho más claro que necesitas en el hopsital, porque pues ¡ya lo viví! Les comparto lo que para mi es indispensable llevarse al hospital, no hay una sola cosa en esta lista que yo empaque y no use. Claro, todas tenemos necesidades diferentes pero espero que les ayude esta guía a armar su hospital bag checklist.
Para Mamá
- 2 Pijamas de Maternidad (Les recomiendo las de MÜM son comodisimas y super practicas para la lactancia!)
- Pantunflas
- Calcetines Calientitos
- Birth ball (Pelota de Yoga)
- Chapstick
- Bebidas Isotónicas (Gatorade /Powarade/SueroX busquen sin azucar)
- Donas o ligas para el pelo
- Protectores de Lactancia (Eviten las reciclables! Estos reusables son buenisimos, yo tengo 2 sets porque tenso sobreproduccion y los lavo cada 3 dias)
- Toallas Sanitarias
- Ropa Interior de Maternidad (Aparte compren 1 o 2 calzones para cesarea por si acaso)
- Cojin de Lactancia (Yo use este y me encanto, lo sigo usando)
- Articulos de aseo personal (Desodorante, shampoo, jabon, cepillo de dientes, pasta de dientes, cepillo de pelo, etc)
- 2 Cambios de ropa comoda y holgada (este tip me lo van a agradecer, NO pantalones!)
- 3 Bras de lactancia SIN barilla (Probe varias marcas y estoy fascinada con estos, estan comodisimos para dormir)
- Cargador de Celular
- Difusor de aceites esenciales y tus aceites favoritos (el OnGuard de DoTerra es basico)
- Desinfectante de manos Organico Sin Alcohol (El desinfectante que te dan en el hospital huele fuertisimo y la verdad yo no lo use. Les recomiendo muchisimo este que es como foam, sin alcohol y 100% organico para que todas sus visitas y ustedes siempre se desinfecten las manos antes de tocar o cargar al bebe)
Bebé
- 3 Velcro Swaddles (Estos son una maravilla, la tela deliciosa y facilisimos de poner)
- 3 Muselinas (En amazon hay muchos preciosos, este set me lo regalaron en mi baby shower y las uso muchisimo)
- Toallitas Humedas Hipoalergenicas
- Pañales talla RN (30)
- Aquaphor Baby (La mejor pomada para prevenir rozaduras, esta la uso en todos los cambios de pañal. Cuando Enzo tiene un rash mas severo uso la de Burt’s Bees que tiene zinc y es mas espesa)
- Burp cloths o Trapitos (Los de Burt Bees son los mas suaves que he probado y los que me han aguantado mas lavadas)
- 3 Pijamas (Yo prefiero las de zipper, la verdad es que a las 2 am las de botones son una friega de abrochar y desabrochar y es mas tardado)
- Outfit para salir del hospital
- 2 Pares de calcetines
- 2 Gorritos
- 2 Guantesitos de bebe
- Jabon Organico Hipoalergenico (En el hospital usan marcas comerciales y yo soy un poco picky con los productos que uso con Enzo entonces mejor me lleve el mio, se los recomiendo muchisimo es hipoalergenico y sale como en espumita entonces es facilisimo de usar!)

The Ultimate Hospital Bag Checklist
Are you asking yourself “What should I pack in my hospital bag?” Being the research freak that I am, I spent hours reading other women’s experiences and asking on Facebook Groups what every mom was most happy to have in her hospital bag, and what she wished she had packed. With all the information I gathered I created my own hospital bag checklist, and I gotta say there was not ONE thing I wish I would’ve had at the hospital!
Here’s the ultimate checklist I came up with:
Mom
- 2 Maternity Pajamas (I highly recommend Motherhood Pajamas they are so comfortable and very practical for breastfeeding!)
- Slippers
- Warm Socks
- Birth ball
- Lip balm
- Isotonic sports drinks
- Scrunchie
- Breast pads
- Maternity pads (I highly suggest getting the organic washable pads, not only do you help save the planet but you save a lot of $! These are my favorite from Amazon)
- Maternity underwear
- Boppy Nursing Pillow and Positioner (I got this one and still use it! It’s so soft)
- Toiletries
- My going home outfit
- 3 nursing bras (You’re going to be laying down and half asleep for most of your hospital stay so I recommend packing nursing bras with no underwire, I’ve gone through a few different brands and I am obsessed with the Cakye ones)
- Phone charger
- Oil diffuser and choice of essential oils
- Organic Alcohol Free hand sanitizer (The hospital provided hand sanitizer has a harsh chemical smell so I brought my own, I love that it comes out in a foamy texture and has no smell at all)
Baby
- 3 Velcro Swaddles (We learnt how to swaddle using blankets at our Birthing Class but once we were at the hospital we were so grateful someone had given us a set of Swaddle Me Velcro Swaddles at the Baby Shower, they were sooo much easier to put on. We ended up buying 2 more sets)
- 3 Muslin blankets
- Hypoallergenic Baby Wipes
- 30 Choice of Diapers NB size
- Diaper Rash Cream (I swear by Aquaphor’s Baby Ointement, it prevents diaper rashes and is also great on any small cuts or scratches! When Enzo has a bad rash I use the Burt’s Bees Diaper Rash Cream, also love it!)
- 3 Burp cloths (Enzo is now 6 months old and we still have and use the Burts Bees Burp Cloths, they have been washed hundreds of times and are still incredibly soft and absorbent!)
- 3 Zipper Footed Pajamas
- Going home outfit
- 2 Pairs of socks
- 2 Hats
- 2 Pairs of Mittens
